Ornamental grass allows a large amount of variation in texture and tone to be added to a garden, but for a majority of the year they are almost completely forgotten in some gardens. Whether used as a sole clump or as a group to form ground covering borders or hedgerows, they don’t lack versatility. As long as the soil is well-drained, ornamental grass varieties will do well in all types of soils.

wow, tough little machine- A+
Hi- I’m not sure what issues the others have had with this machine, but it’s awesome. I’ve been using the one I bought new for about 3 years now at my home and honestly it’s been worked hard and a little abused… but it works as well as brand new. I use it to clear raw land by helping dig out roots, to help grade soil, to make new garden space, etc. My neighbor has seen the results & asked me where I got it. The only negative I can see is the lack of available attachments- I’d like to see an aerator, edger & dethatching attachment for it.
Yard Machines 121 Cultivator
I placed an order for 1 Yard Machines 121 Cultivator and received 2. I sent 1 back. I opened the shipping box and found it had no back wheels as shown in the advertisement, on the shipping box, and on the instructions inside. I called Amazon and explained the situation and they said they would send me another. Well, they did. Exactly the same. It had an 8″ roller instead of the two wheels as advertised. I returned that one too. Amazon did return my money. I AM VERY UNHAPPY WITH THIS TRANSACTION.

I can’t review it yet because it is winter here and we haven’t been able to use it. I am sure we’ll love it. Friends own one and they convinced us we need to purchase one for ourselves.

Electric refurbished model
I am not one to write reviews, but i was so impressed with this tiller that i had to. I don’t know how i gardened so long without it. It is excellent at seed bed prep. One pass is all it takes. It just pulverized the soil in my raised beds. I also tried it in my wifes flower bed (i was looking for places to play with it)it did just as well in the rocky root strewn soil. It spit rocks out behind it and ground up 3/8 inch roots. It has a lot of tourqe for an electric motor. It is quiet of course. I checked all the different brands before buying the Mantis. I think it is the best value with the warranty etc. Mine came with the edger but i haven’t tried it yet. I also just ordered the aerator.
I would suggest it even for large gardens because of the seed bed prep and the tilling depth. 10 inches easy.
small garden tiller
The mantis does very well for what it is intended. It’s a lightweight tiller and is excellent for small gardens. I have a small lot in an urban setting and I could use this tiller at 4 o’clock in the morning and my neighbors wouldn’t know it. The electric motor is that quiet.
Don’t expect it to till a field the size of a commercial garden it’s too small and would take you forever.

Very easy to use. It’s a real workhorse. I am pleased with it.
